"I engaged Emma’s services last year for a renovation I was undertaking in Cottesloe. The builder was steering me down a design path I wasn’t keen on so I brought Emma in to assist. I needed some direction and help with all the building selections. Emma understood my vision and was able to step in and suggest things that would suit the style I was after but also work with the selections that had already been chosen by the builder which made it a little more challenging. This took a lot of the stress out of the build process for me.
Emma was able to source lighting, flooring, cabinetry finishes, curtains, shutters and developed the overall colour scheme. She also sourced all the furniture throughout which was either in stock or short lead time meaning I didn’t have to wait for anything and could move right in. Once the furniture was installed, she gave it the final touches so it really felt like moving into a finished home.
I now have a relaxed, timeless beach house that feels like home and I’m grateful for all Emma’s work and would happily recommend her to anyone seeking Interior Design services"

"I found Emma when our build was already progressing and I was struggling with the selections. I needed help and direction as it was overwhelming. Emma immediately put me at ease and reassured me she could help, even at this later stage of the build.
Emma reviewed our plans and suggested a number of changes to selections we’d already made. She sourced samples of tiles, carpet, flooring and colours and reviewed items such as the lighting plan. She arranged the blinds and curtains, created a furniture plan, took us shopping and styled the home when the furniture was installed. She guided, advised and managed so that there was a beautiful theme to the home and a consistency of choices.
Emma completely changed the whole house-building experience for us. From what was a stressful and confusing experience, she took us on a journey and brought things together with her suggestions. She didn’t come with a standard approach and always had multiple options for us to choose from.

"We engaged the services of M Interiors late in December 2017 (which was initially for a proposed renovation to our residence of over 28 years), we then decided that the renovation wouldn’t satisfy our objectives, so we proceeded to demolish and rebuild a coastal plantation themed residence on our ocean front site.
Emma Mackie, the principal of M Interiors was given the brief and requested to present an innovative vision for the interior and exterior design of the new residence. The presentation was absolutely impeccable, the creativity outstanding, resulting in a classic and timeless design.

“My husband and I downsized recently into a house that was 10 years old. We started the refurbishment with a custom made dining table, however had great difficulty finding chairs to suit the table and the space. Emma was recommended to us by a friend and our problems disappeared!
This escalated to a refurbishment of the entire living area, outdoor area, master bedroom, upstairs landing and two bathrooms. Emma understood our taste, was considerate of our budget and provided professional presentations of her vision for the rooms. I am very indecisive, so this made the task easy for me and eliminated the need for endless hours of research on our part.
Emma recommended an excellent builder to employ and oversee the trades, and we were very happy with the workmanship all round. Emma has access to furniture and décor suppliers which are not mainstream and introduced me to a wonderful home décor store, and even an artist, that I am very comfortable visiting of my own accord now that our renovations have been completed.
